A Day Spent at a Construction Site   

On February 16, Juche 71 (1982), the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il said to an official that he would visit the Moranbong Stadium (present-day Kim Il Sung Stadium), which was undergoing renovation. 

The official suggested that he postpone the visit and have a rest that day. (February 16 is Kim Jong Il’s birthday.) 

Kim Jong Il earnestly said to him: We should complete the renovation of Moranbong Stadium by the 70th anniversary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung without fail; now time is pressing; I am the most pleased when the President is satisfied. 

Kim Jong Il spent his 40th birthday at the construction site, advising on how to flawlessly renovate all the details of the stadium including the shade of the stadium. 

Indeed, he put all wishes of President Kim Il Sung into reality, always being together with him on the road for the people.
